The best vets in town. I would never consider taking my animals elsewhere.

Horrible vet. We took our dog in and he needed surgery. I asked how much it was going to be and they told me 200 dollars. When I went to pick him up they raised the price to 278. I was able to argue down to 225 but still, no other vet I have ever worked with has ever gone over the price without a phone call at least first. Then, They rewrapped his leg, MUCH to tight causing his leg to swell up and requiring a special trip back to them (30 miles) and another overnight stay so they could watch his condition. I went to pick him up today and they CHARGED ME for their mistake! The People up front are the rudest people I have ever seen. How they keep their jobs is beyond me. I'm issuing a chargeback on my credit card for the faulty service they rendered and letting everyone know just how disappointing a vet they are. We REFUSE to take our pet back to them, and have already found a new vet to finish out his treatment.

When my cat was sick, I had to take her to DeKalb Animal Hospital. They were so nice and understanding. They took excellent care of my cat and loved her and treated her like she was their own. I would recommend this vet to anyone because I like the location, I like the vet, I like the office, and I felt good leaving my cat there while they took care of her and treated her. I am gracious for all their hard work. She got well, thanks to DeKalb Animal Hospital. I do recommend DeKalb Animal Hospital at 125 22nd Street in Fort Payne. Their hours are great, and the prices are good.
